Hello dear Understand your concern Infectious mononucleosis is infectious widespread viral disease most commonly caused by the Epstein–Barr virus. It causes fever, sore throat, headache and lymphadenopathy It is is generally self-limiting, only symptomatic and/or supportive treatments are used 1. avoid heavy physical activity/ weight lifting, that increased abdominal pressure first 3–4 weeks of Medications 2. Paracetamol/ ibuprofen for fever and pain. 3. Prednisone:it is anti inflammatory to reduce symptoms of pharyngeal pain, odynophagia, or enlarged tonsils 4. Antiviral drug valacyclovir: reduce viral sheddingsand leading to a significant decrease in the severity of symptoms 5.
