Suggest Treatment For Infection After Nose Piercing
I recently got my nose pierced about 3 weeks ago and I've developed a keiloid. I've been putting tee tree oil on it and it looked like it needed to be popped so I popped it. There was pus and blood that came out of it. Will it go away like a zit or will it just stay there? Is there any home remedies to get rid of it if it doesn't just go away
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain keloid is an overgrowth of scar tissue at the injury site and pus and blood discharge seems to be due to infection in the area of the keloid. As keloid is an overgrowth of the soft tissue or the scar tissue therefore it will not get regressed or resolved on its own.. As of now first you should take measures to resolve the infection and for this you should start cleaning the area with antiseptic solution and also start applying Triple Antibiotic ointment over it.. You should also apply steroid ointment over it.. Put moderate pressure and drain off pus.. In case if it still does not resolve in a week consult a general physician and get evaluated.. Once the infection subside you can proceed for keloid removal..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
