Suggest Treatment For Infected Wound On Knee

I am a 39 yr old female. My right foot, ankle and calf and somewhat up my thigh is double the size of the left. I am currently being treated for an infected wound on my left knee that I sustained during a seizure 2 months ago. It closed then reopened and also has a fair amount of fluid around my left knee with heat, redness and obvious swelling. I am on Bactrim DS for this. I have quite a long med/surg history for a 39 yr-old...unfortunately. I am elevating my legs but I am also experiencing intermittent pains in my chest and difficulty getting a full breathe. I am thinking that CP and SOB may be anxiety (I have a history of this as well). I also have severe cramping in my hips and my right foot is tingling and kind of numb to the touch. Cap refill is greater than 15 seconds as my toes are reddish/purple. I did go to ER yesterday (forced by family bc as a prior ER nurse myself, the only way to show up to ER is to work, as an arrest, or DOA), DR was really an ass (sorry, no offense) x-rayed left knee, told me electrolytes were a little out of whack and to see a neuro because my legs keep giving out on me for no apparent reason with no warning. No LOC. No dizziness. I am scared to go to sleep but do not want to go to hospital. Any suggestions? I did take a baby ASA. HELP!!!! Thank you so kindly.
