Suggest Treatment For Infected Wound On Elbow After Surgery With Implants

i got shot back in november with a 12 gauge and they put a plate and a couple rods in my elbow. the wound gets better but then it gets swollen and i squeezed a lot of puss out thinking it would help. it got infected 2 or 3 times ever since surgery and they gave me antibiotics but it seems to work temporarily. im holding a lot of pressure on the wound with gauze and a wrap. should i apply something onto the wound? i have no health insurance and the situation im in is very complicated.
