Suggest Treatment For Infected Pimple On The Head

I have what I thought was an infected hair, like a pimple, in the center of the back of my head. painfull when brushing, washing my hair. it was feeling like it was going away, less painfull , about 3 to 4 days later I noticed a scab so I put peroxide on it, it was getting better, I thought until now, it s very painful and a hole like about the size of a tac. I can t bare the pain when I peroxide it now. what else can I do?

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

It looks like infected hair follicle and the infection seems to be spreading..

You should consult an Emergency room and get evaluated and a clinical examination can be done to rule out the exact cause of the symptoms..

It is most probably infection and you can be advised a course of antibiotics and anti-inflammatory painkillers along with topical application of antiseptic ointment and cleaning with betadine solution.

Keep the scalp clean and dry and avoid touching the lesion again and again to avoid spread of infection..

Hope this helps..

Regards.
