Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Prilosac contains omperazole which is an enzyme inducer so it may increase breakdown of medicine you are taking for hypertension and makes it less effective. In my opinion you should stop prilosac and switch over to other antiacidity medicine like ranitidine or pantoprazole with antacids about which your doctor knows.

I would advise you to visit again to your doctor for recording of blood pressure and readjustment of dosage for antihypertensive medicine and another drug for acidity and reflux In addition to medicines you should follow these measures for reflux. Have small and frequent meals. Don't lie down immediately after food. Have lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. Avoid fatty, fried, spicy and junk food.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. B R Hudda
