I m a 6-foot, 32 year old obese male with hypertension; five months ago I started taking Benicar HTC and Hydrocodone-10/500mg. Two days ago on 9/8/11 my doctor added Janumet to control my diabetes. I started treatment that evening with one pill. Another the next day I woke on the 9th at 7am. Around 8 hours later I started to get weak and feeling of not getting enough oxygen, 30 minutes later.. added activity started to make me feel light headed, shortness of breath and the sensation of rapid heart beats. I started to become dizzy and vision would blur additionally in the worst of these symptoms my hearing would become very weak and I could hear very little as if some one had stuffed cotton in my ears. I believe I was starting to pass out, but these issues quickly stopped as I rested. The described symptoms continued at various levels all during the evening. I took my blood pressure using a Airial hand-pump cuffed machine that I m unsure if I can depend on. Blood Pressure levels were believed to be very low changing from 124/71 to 101/44 (lowest reading I got) with pulse readings of anything from 79 to 95. Again.. I cannot be confident that these readings from the machine or my knowledge of using the machine are accurate. Being 60+ miles away from any medical help I focused on being calm, snacking on salty things, peanuts.. pretzles and drinking lots of water. I feel asleep at some point as I it was hard to remain awake, this morning I woke around 8am and skipped my medications which I normally take. Including the benicar htc, 2 10mg Lortab, 1 janumet, 1 One a day multivitamin and 1 Potassium Gluconate suppliment. Today I have similar symptoms on a much smaller level. Ringing in the ear, dizziness/light-headedness randomly and upon standing, mildly blurred vision/sensitivity to light. An odd pressure in my head and neck, much like sinus pressure headaches. Sensitivity in my teeth and a odd metallic/coppery taste in my mouth. Could this be a complication to my mixture of medications?
