Suggest Treatment For Hypertension And Paralysis
my friend is 35 years old , previous year he have hypertensive 180/100 bp now right hand is paralaised but slightly it can movable. now doctor prescribed him to take 100mg eptoin tablets , dosage is morning-2 tabs andd evening-2 tabs. is it over dose? any problem?

maybe your friend has suffered a cerebro-vascular accident associated with convulsions at the onset, which is why he has been started on anti-epileptics like phenytoin.
tab eptoin 200 mgs twice daily is quite safe with the needed clinical indication, until & unless there is any contraindication like in case of very much deranged liver functions.
if you are really concerned with this you can go ahead with pre-dose & post-dose toxic levels of phenytoin, & liver function tests
