I developed what looked like hives on the evening of Aug 7. They didn t really itch like hives but I went to my general practioner on Aug 8th. He gave me a steriod shot and sent me on my way. By that evening, I had more hives, a terrible sore throat and was running a low grade fever. Went back on the 9th, they did a rapid strep test, which was negative. Doc gave me Predisone pills (10) but told me not to take them unless I was having trouble breathing or swallowing and then to go to ER. My symptoms have not improved, they have progressively got worse or not changed. As of today, I have run a fever off and on since the evening of the 8th. I have diarrhea, low back pain, neck pain, new rash that has shown up on my hand that wasn t there yesterday and my lungs feel tight. I can t make anyone at my clinic aware that I feel this is more than hives. I m at a loss on what to do.
