Hi,

You may have developed an allergic reaction to mosquito bites, which can sometimes happen after repeated exposure to mosquito saliva. The reaction can result in hives and edema (swelling). It is also possible that you have developed an allergy to other environmental allergens or foods.

It is unlikely that the brown recluse bite from 6 months ago is causing your current symptoms. However, a brown recluse bite can cause serious tissue damage, so it is important to seek medical attention if you suspect you have been bitten. If you are experiencing ongoing GI problems, it is important to see a doctor to determine the underlying cause. The removal of your gallbladder may have contributed to these symptoms, but there could be other factors at play.

There are several treatment options available for hives and angioedema, including antihistamines and corticosteroids. It is important to see a doctor to determine the most appropriate treatment for your specific condition. If you are unable to afford medical care, you may be eligible for free or low-cost healthcare through programs such as Medicaid or community clinics.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
