Suggest Treatment For Hives Along With Mild Wheezing

My 13 yr old son has scattered hives on his torso and extremities, Mild wheezing, diminished lung sounds in the bases. He is not clearing after taking Benadryl tabs and using topical benadryl lotion and calamine lotion. He is running low grade temp and has a moist cough and some sinus congestion.

Hi.
As per your case history of urticaria and wheezing, my treatment advice is -
1. Avoid fast food and food with artificial colors for 2 months.
2. Don't take any medication without consulting a doctor as it may worsen the condition.
3. Continue calamine lotion application on affected region twice daily.
4. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine twice daily for 7-10 days.
5. Take paracetamol medication for fever.

If problem persists then consult a dermatologist.

Thanks.
Dr. Harshit bhachech.
MBBS, DDVL.
