Suggest Treatment For Hip Pain For A 52-year-old Man

During vasectomy operation 10 years ago the oncologist pulled aslew of nerves/tendons which caused me to fold up like a chaise lounge chair... thepull cause pain from muscle tendons from my pecs, and laterally from testicles towards my hip.. My hip pain is still a problem... the vasectomy did not finish well.. a case of penile fracture within 24 hours, swelling for 2 months from varicelle... It was a text book not... I refuse to go near that doctor again.. as the ensuing hospital MRSA infection had me off work for 10 months... I ve tried to exercise , stretch and keep in moderate shape but the hip issue is continuing and the pain is keeping me from getting a good night sleep // Any suggestions Dale Moore 56 years old Timmins Ontario Canada

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
I have gone through your query and here is my advice.

As per your history you can take tab acetaminophen for pain and can apply diclofenac gel locally.

If still doesn't get relief then consult a orthopedic doctor. He may procure complete hemogram calcium levels and vitamin D level.

Till then keep your self hydrated and eat healthy diet.

Can use heating pads at the site of pain

Hope I have answered your query, let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr Shyam Kale.
