Suggest Treatment For High Microalbumin Level

I m a Hispanic male, 54 years old and diabetic. Blood sugar when fasting: 120 to 130. Height 5 9 , weight 175 lbs. My microalbumin is 202.2 and I m worried about it because my father died of kidney failure. I keep a Paleo diet and try to keep low stress. I keep myself well hydrated. I take short walks every now and then. What should I do to bring those microalbumin numbers down?

Hello,

Unfortunately, the only way to manage your microalbuminuria levels, is to manage better your fasting glucose and blood pressure values. Drugs to help protect kidneys can also help reduce microalbuminuria.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
