Suggest Treatment For High Lactic Acid

my mother latic acid level is 2.70 the normal high is 2.10 and the normal low is .70. she was diagnosed with chf. the doctor is treating for chf, however did not treat the Latic Acid, she also has diabetes but des nottake metformin. should she also be treated for her high Latic acid level?

Though the lactic acid level is above the normal range, it is only a very slight increase, a difference of 0.6 only.

This would not require any treatment.
