Suggest Treatment For High Fever In A Child While On Crocin-DS
Hello Doctor, My 7 years old daughter is suffering from high fever that goes upto 104 to 105 degrees. It started from yesterday, we gave crocin DS in the afternoon yesterday but fever didn t comedown and then in the evening we gave meftal-p and the fever came down to 100 to 101 degrees. we gave antibiotic as well(5ml) yesterday at 4 pm and 2 am. and the gave meftal-p at 4:30 am as she has high fever 104 degress and the fever went down to 101 degrees in 30-40 mins. But now since morning her fever is not going down below 102 degress (it gave upto 105.6 degrees in the morning at around 11am) after giving meftal -p and crocin DS syrup. What should we do?

As per your query, your daughter has symptoms of high fever while on Crocin-DS which is because of the consequence of co-infection by bacteria and virus. Impaired immunity of the body is an additional factor.
Need not to worry. I would suggest taking a proper antibiotic course such as Levofloxacin. Take anti-inflammatory drugs such as Sinarest as well. You should drink plenty of fluids. Maintain proper oral hygiene. Take paracetamol for fever. You should do warm saline gargles on daily basis 3- 4 times a day. Visit pediatrician once and get a complete examination done. Go for blood tests along with throat swab test.
