General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your son has upper respiratory tract infection. He has to be given Azithromycin 250 mg twice daily for 5 days along with paracetamol 500 mg as and when required for fever.

Give him only lukewarm water to drink and a bland diet to eat. If it is difficult for your son to take tablet, you can give him azithromycin suspension which is also available in 250 mg/5 ml strength.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Prabhash Verma, General & Family Physician
