Suggest Treatment For High Fever And Cough In A Chiild

My 7 year old daughter has a temperature of 103.1, her eyes hurt when she closes them, she feels dizzy when she stands and she is coughing a lot. She had an abcessed tooth removed on November 25 and has also been on an antibiotic since November 28. The high fever just started yesterday. Should I take her to the emergency room.

Hello!
I have been through your question.
According the symptoms of your child and medical history I think for the moment this is a viral situation (most probably flu). Since the abscessed tooth is removed and treat with antibiotic, this situation I think is not related with the fever in this moment. So, what I suggest in this case is waiting for 3-4 days doing home treatment drinking a lot of fluids, eating well (vegetables and fruits), using acetaminophen or ibuprofen for the fever and antitussive syrup. If these symptoms last more than 4-5 days you should meet a pediatrician to see for pulmonary complications.
I hope my answer help you. I wish your child a quick recovery.
