Suggest Treatment For High Diabetic Levels

My husband is a diabetic. He has the stomach flu. His blood glucose has been running high today (280 this morning) so he has been testing frequently and taking extra insulin trying to get it to go down. Just now it is 420. Should I take him to the DR?

Hello,
If blood sugar levels are getting high inspite of increasing the insulin dose, then you should go to ER as early as possible.A level of 420 is really very high.
Thanks
