HI I WAS TAKING SPASMA PROXYONE AND CODEINE SYRUPS FOR MANY YEARS.NOW FROM PAST ONEMONTH,I HAVE STOPPED TAKING THIS.GOT OVER WITH NORMAL WITHDRAWLS BUT NOW MY BLOOD PRESSURE KEEPS ON SHOOTING UP WITH CHEST PAIN ....ALSO I HAVE ACIDITY PROBLEM RISING UP.BREATHLESSNESS AND WEAKNESS IS ALSO CONCERN.PLZZZZZ SUGGEST SOMETHING.MY THROID TESTS,BLOOD TESTS,ECG AND ECHO TESTS ARE NORMAL.

Hi,

The High blood pressure with chest pain and breathlessness demands a checkup by a heart specialist for treatment of blood pressure and a stress test to exclude heart vessel disease (coronary insufficiency). Side by side, treatment and lifestyle changes of acidity would facilitate relief.
- Avoid spicy, oily food / over eating / alcohol
- Try to maintain normal weight
- Take over the counter pills of Ranitidin to control acidity
