General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Yes, you are overmedicating yourself. The nausea and discomfort are common side effects of the tab Hydralazine. Go step wise to get your hypertension under control. Tab Amlodipine 5 mg, to start with, should be sufficient. In low doses it should not cause any nausea.

Metoprolol can slow down the heart rate. Lisinopril can cause irregular heart beat or high levels of potassium leading to bradycardia and muscle weakness. Also bring down your weight if you are overweight and restrict salt and fats in the diet. Get a lipid profile and an echocardiography for more clarity.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
