Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my 51 year old healthy very physically active husband (runner) has a hernia groin area. he s been increasing his exercise and mileage of his running. he s feeling pain as if it s his testicle but he believes it s his hernia he believes... should he go see a doctor. He did get checked out about 6 mos. and dr. said he was okay but keep an eye on it. what should he do?
A particular type of hernia can cause pain around the testicle and penis region as well. Exercise (mainly lifting exercises) do not help a hernia and can even cause severe aggravation of the condition.
It would be best to visit the doctor with the new development, as your doctor has also asked to keep the condition well monitored.
Hope this helps.
Best wishes.
