Okay I have been diagnosed with IBS years ago. It is getting worse and worse the last year or so. I also have hemorrhoids. It is really painful to go to the bathroom I mean really painful. I have giving up eating but maybe once a day these days. Who should I go see to help me with this problem.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Hemorrhoids have different treatments depending on the stage of the situation. I suggest using an anti hemorrhoid cream for local application such as Preparation H. I also suggest to avoid constipation by using a fiber supplement and a fiber rich diet. If the symptoms continue, you should see a proctologist for further evaluation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
