Suggest Treatment For Heavy Bleeding And Blood Clots
I am 22 I have no kids but I do want some soon my doctor have ran test back to back and stated I was in the best of health I m just overweight. I was diagnosed with metromenorrhagia I was put on birth control pills it worked for 2 weeks then it was back to constant bleeding and blood clots(that did not work) my doctor told me that my IUD is a last option. It has now been a month and the heavy bleeding and blood clots has returned.. Am I out of options?

Hi, Thanks for your query.. I understand your concern. The irregular profuse & prolonged bleeding not controlled by oral contraceptives .. needs further detailed examination. Finding the cause & then specific treatment according to cause found. I think you need a complete hormonal assessment to pin point the cause of hormonal imbalance/ USG abdomen( to detect fibroiduterus, ovarian cyst/ endometriosis( laperoscopy/ imaging investigations. )...as per advise by a gynecologist after a detailed physical examination./ D& c procedure for treatment as well as treatment purpose. thanks. So you have to consult a gynecologist
