Suggest Treatment For Headaches When Suffering From Hypertension

I am monitoring my blood pressure, averages right now 158/97 . I am on Lisinipril 30mg. we are trying to get it to come down. I am also having a pretty serious headache. I took Advil early this morning to help, didn t . I have had good success with BC Powders for my headaches, but avoided it today because of my BP. and the caffeine in the powder. what could I take to alleviate the headache?

Hi,

I have gone through your medical problems carefully and understood your concerns.

You are reporting to suffer of headaches while being on treatment for high blood pressure (HBP).

If you would come into my clinic, I'd measure your blood pressure, and would ask to monitor your bp at home, and record the results to pass them to me for further evaluations.

Spikes in bp is commonly occurring in my patients suffering of HBP.

If the bp would be elevated, I'd advise to:
- increase the actual dose of Lisinopril
- start a diuretic

Further evaluation by cardiologist is also needed.
