Suggest Treatment For Headache And Light Headedness

I am light-headed/ have a headache and in certain places my skin is very sensitive. This started yesterday, when I felt light-headed and most of my skin was sensitive. However, it was worse yesterday because I had the chills. I was very tired yesterday as well but I did not have a fever. I do not know if my thermometer was broken because it really did feel like I had a fever. I have been taking some IBprofuen for my head. Please tell me what this is??

Hi,

A headache, if associated with scalp skin sensitivity is usually a manifestation of a Tension-type headache (TTH).

I suggest you do some regular meditation and mental relaxation exercises like yoga.

If you are having TTH, it should improve with mental relaxation. Further, I would also like to know if your headache is associated with nausea and does it increase with lights and sounds?

These features if present, are indicative of a migraine. Do you have any other past medical history?

If you have any further questions, I shall be glad to have you in follow-up with details.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Ajay Panwar, Neurologist
