Suggest Treatment For Headache And Dizziness

It started with strained muscle in my buttocks - thought it was due to walking up a steep hill. Although it has partly moved to my lower back, I don t think it s sciatica as I never had pain down the back of my legs - some down the front but that would be consistent with the walking up the hill. Symptoms started Sunday, went to the Dr (mine wasn t available so saw the nurse practitioner Wed.) Thought I might also be starting with a UTI which was confirmed. I also have been having a semi constant pressure headache along with dizziness - did mention that to the nurse that took vitals but forgot to mention it to the NP. Called yesterday and requested pain meds. I can t take NSAIDS or Naprosyn. She gave me Vicodin which I took last year when I had my knee replaced, and never had an issue, but have thrown up the last three (but I haven t been hungry so not much in the stomach - did eat a few animal crackers with one dose and a pudding with another.) My dr office is closed for the weekend and if I had to I would go to urgent care, but hoping I can get some ideas. Been using a heating pad. No idea if the soreness, headache and UTI are related - NP didn t think the UTI and lower back/buttock pain were.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thankyou for the question,Headache and dizziness can be because of hypoglycemia, hypotention(low B.P),and some ear diseases like labyrinthitis and menieres disease, dehydration, hyperventilation(breathing very quickly),vertigo
dizziness that accompanies a headache could be a sign of a migraine too.
Find out how your physician can help determine a proper diagnosis.
For the weekend generally treatments that ease headache pain will also help ease dizziness .You can follow over the counter pain medication, relaxation techniques, and maintaining healthy regular diet.
Paracetamol works well for many headache attacks.if headache is worse anti sickness medicines work best in addition to pain killer.for example domperidone,metoclopromide...
