Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have noticed a hard lump on my right labia minora it s the size of a very small pea I have had this for 3 days and I have been bathing it in a salt bath at night I have tried squeezing it but it s to painful please advise I have some clarithromycin tablets would this help to clear it up .. Thank you
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Hard lump present on labia minora which is painful could be an infected sebeceous cyst. Since it is not reducing by salt bath, it needs to be removed by means of minor surgery. Taking antibiotic Clarithromycin would only bring down the infection, but it may not get rid of the lump completely. In any case, a course of antibiotics with analgesic medications would be given following Tue procedure. Hence, kindly consult Gynecologist or Surgeon for appropriate evaluation and management. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
