Suggest Treatment For Hard Dark Brown Stool In Kid

My two year old has had a change in her bowel movements the last two days. Day one was a sticky, dark brown paste. Second day was dark brown and very hard. Should I be concerned? Or should I wait until Monday and if not changed over the weekend make an appointment?

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history of your two year old having sticky dark brown stools yesterday and dark brown and hard on next day, today.
You may please send the sample of stool for test and if the report is positive for something, better to get a proper treatment as soon as possible.
Better not to wait for an appointment as hard stools can cause fissure in ano and take more time in children to heal as they can not really tell their symptoms properly. Hence the need of a consultation with Doctor.
