Suggest Treatment For Hairfall In Elderly Males

suddenly a few months ago i noticed my thick blonde hair seemed thinner.since then i am losing my hair. every day. my head itches in some places esp the very front. it started suddenly and soon i will need a wig. i am 50 yrs old and i wonder if i am missing some vitamen or mineral. YYYY@YYYY

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of hairfall which could be due to many reasons like improper hygiene, nutritional deficiencies, genetic factor, fungal infection , age factor and hormonal changes. I would suggest you to consult dermatologist for proper examination. Doctor may order blood test, skin patch test and can do physical examination. Doctor may prescribe you drug like finpecia at least for 2-3 months or antifungal treatment along with minoxidil spray. Wash hairs after proper massage with olive oil. You should maintain complete hygiene. You should use Finasteride preparations. You should take supplements like Vitamin A ,Omega-3 and Vitamin E. Take half spoon of Indian goose berry powder with water daily . Doctor may recommend hair transplant .
