Suggest Treatment For Groin Pain

I have groin pain and have a hard time walking after sitting for a while. after I walk about 10 steps I can then stand straight and walk . this goes on all thru the day I also am unable to lift legs to put on shoes and socks. . . I do not want surgery. I had xrays and mri and was told I had mild degenerative changes in right hip, degenerative changes in lower spine,small left joint effusion in hip degenerative changes are seen in lumbar spine and hips bulging discs in back. I went to an orthopedic and was in an out of office in minutes and was told to physical therapy. I had no relief so stopped going. can you give me any ideas as to what can be done. thank you, joan
