Suggest Treatment For Gritty Lump On Left Testicle

Hi I first noticed a very tiny hard gritty lump (pin head size) on my left testicle 3-4 years ago, at the time my GP sent me for an ultrasound and results confirmed there was nothing to worry about. I still have the hard gritty lump which has slightly grown. A few months ago I went to see my GP, it was very cold weather, therefore my testicles were firm and the GP could not find the lump. The weather is warmer now, my testicles are soft and the lump is very noticeable and there is now a dull ache in the left testicle. Should I be concerned??

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

It is unlikely to be a concern as the initial ultrasound was normal, and second examination was also normal. Some irregularity on palpation might be from the normal epididymis or a small epididymal cyst. If you are still so worried, you can get a repeat ultrasound done.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
