Suggest Treatment For Grade-2 Prostate Enlargement With Concretions
My dad was diagnosed Grade 2 prostate with concretions, then the doctor gave him tamsollisine 400 mg for 3 months then UTZ repeat and the result its the same, then he gave him tamsollisine but this time only for 15 days and he said after this stop. What is the proper medication for Grade 2 prostate with concretions and what is the prognosis. Thank you
Hi. the dose of tamsulosin you are saying is not correct it is to be given as 0.4mg once daily . It is only for symptomatic relief. If symptoms do not improve say after 1 month, you have to increase the dose to 0.8mg once dialy and see the response. If still symptoms persist you have to consult urologist . The definite treatment is surgical.
