Hi,

Gonorrhea is STD, Sexually transmitted infection. You should continue to take the medications as prescribed without neglect. Get repeat test for STI done after you finish the course of your medication.

Abstain from sex at present. Avoid multiple partners, unprotected sex, avoid alcohol & illegal drug abuse. Stay connected with your treating PCP, you may require Ceftriaxone injections that are effective.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K,
