Suggest Treatment For Gastritis, nausea And Dizziness

I have been suffering from gastritis since the past 1.5 months. The doctor gave me Nexum 20mg and it did get better but has not healed. Now since the past 3 days I have been having diarrhea, nausea and dizziness along with on/off pains on my right side.

Hi,
Welcome to health care magic,

Causes of gastritis are helicobactor pylori infection, oily and spicy diet,or drug induced.

You can go for routine blood count,ESR,urinalysis with ultrasound abdomen with upper GI endoscopy to rule out other gastric pathology and to confirm gastric inflammation.

You should take h2 blockers like ranitidine or proton pump inhibitors like pantoprazole or rabeprazole etc with ulceroprotective drugs like sucralfate, misoprostol etc.

If you developed symptoms of diarrhoea, nausea and dizziness then you will have to take oral antibiotics (levofloxacin with ornidazole or ofloxacin with ornidazoleo) with antacids (pantoprazole or nexium),antiemetics (ondasetron) and prebiotics with plenty of water and fruit juices like lemon water and coconut water.

Consult your physician or gastroenterologist for further advice.

Regards,
