Suggest Treatment For Gas, Severe Pain In Abdomen And Lower Back

My wife has extreme pain & very low left abdomen. Pain radiates from abdomen to lower left back. Ice helps the pain, but she needs pain pills to sleep. Lot's of gas, & she either is bound up or has diarrhea. Very little appetite & has lost 8 lbs. in 2 1/2 wks.

Thanks for your query.I have read your query & understood the concern,
The problem your wife has seems to be-
- Indigestion/ constipation due to digestive deficiency / wrong eating patterns ( needs more fibers& water intake ( 10-12 glasses )/ regular physical exercises)
- Bowel infections/ infestations ( bacterial/amoebic/ worm ).. need to be treated specifically after pathological test & advise by a physician.
- Crown's disease/ celiac disease can lead to such problems.Need gastroenterologist's advise & investigations.
- Pain in lower left back.. can appear due to nerve compression by increased abdominal pressure.. in case of vertebral/ disc problems.
* The weight loss seems to be3 following weakness out of lack of absorption of nutrients.
* In this case, you should get primary consultation/ investigations from your family physician .. he will then treat you himself/ refer you to gastroenterologist/ spinal orthopedic doctor for further management.
