Suggest Treatment For Fungal Toenail Infection

Hi , I have had a swollen little toe for a few months, diagnosed by my doctor as a fungal toe nail infection, have been on terbefinine for 2 months. I have stopped taking it as I have gained weight. I still have the fungal toenail and now just using topical mometasone cream. Should that work on its own? Thanks

Hi,
Welcome To Healthcare Magic.

I understand your concern regarding to your health.

You can treat this fungal toe nail infection by taking Tablet Zocon (fluconazole) 150 mg (if no allergy), once in a week at the interval of 7 days for 16 weeks. Apply Zocon ointment (if no allergy) on the affected area 2 to 3 times in a day till the cure. To treat swelling, I suggest you to take Tablet-Enzoflam (if no allergy), twice in a day at the interval of 12 hours for 3 days.

Avoid wetting the affected toe. Stop using Mometasone cream.
Hope this information will be helpful to resolve your query and further queries are always welcome. I will like to answer them.

Wish you good health.
Take Care, Thank You.
