Suggest Treatment For Frequently Occurring Impetigo

My son is a wrestler and gets impetigo quite often. It recently (year or so) has been in the same place. Only antibiotics get rid of it, the cream does not work at all. We have also been told that it might be shingles, as it reoccurs in the same place. He has had it in the same place about 6 times now, and I would like to know how to get rid of it permanently! It is becoming a nuisance, as well as a legitimate medical problem. Thank-you!
