Suggest Treatment For Frequent Urination And Nocturnal Incontinence
My boyfriend is 26 and urinates in his sleep. He has to urinate often during the day as well. He used to drink monster energy drinks almost daily and he also used to take a pre work out supplement. Is there a chance he has an enlarged prostate at his age?
Welcome at HCM i have gone through your query and being your doctor I completely understand your health concerns... At the age 26 , I don't think he has got enlarged prostate it mostly occurs after 40. In my opiniion he should be seen by specialist to find the exact cause... For how long he has been suffering from it.? Is there any burning micturation? Sexually active? Any other associated problem? Any anatomical abnormality?any history if taking psychiatric medication? Any family history? These all queries need to be answered before a reasoned diagnosis can be drawn. Get his urinalysis done along with full blood count. Meet your doctor so that proper workup can be done. Have he ever checked his ADH levels?? Meanwhile give him reassurance and its nothing to be embarrassed about since it is entirely involuntary.. Hope your query is adequately answered. Regards Dr Saad Sultan
