I help care for an elderly couple she is 91 and he will be 88. Last Feb. he fell off a ladder fractured femur and hip... he had a rental hospital bed but she got on him cause of cost. He s been sleeping on the floor for a couple months now and has almost fallen a couple 3 times. what medical excuse or term may I use to convince him, he NEEDS a bed! Nevrmind

Welcome to hcm, I suggest to him to be examined by a ortho doctor to examine him and decide fractured femur can be fixed either by conservatively or by a surgery. It has to be decided after seeing his xrays. Hope this find useful With regards Dr.Amarnath
