Suggest Treatment For Flu And Painful Bumps In Knee

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help. I just got the flu a few days back and am shortly recovering from it. Today I went to lay on my bed, using my knee as support. I thought maybe I bruised it but on both knees small hard bumps have appeared. They feel painful when pressure is placed on them and now they re starting to hurt while I m standing or walking. Is there anything that could be causing this?
