Hi.. I am 26 year old.i have floaters in both my eyes.i wear glasses all the time.i have a poet of -4. Can you help me suggest some way to reduce this..I am currently using migrakot tablet. Two tablets twice daily and patholadigritham ghee at night.should I continue this and is there any Food that I should avoid while taking this medication? Thank you
Floaters in front of eyes can be due to degeneration of viterous humor which is common in myopics. The refractive error in eyes is not related to nutritional deficiency. The power can be reduced by laser surgery. I suggest you to consult your ophthalmologist for clinical assessment to look for cause of floaters and to assess whether laser surgery can be done or not.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
