Neurologist 's  Response
Dear
I am sorry for the symptoms you are suffering
Fits can be treated and sometimes cured
You should take treatment each day
If for a period of three months you are seizures less and EEG is normal you can interrupt treatment
As you suffered from rare fits (once in several months) I think you can be cured
Hope my answer helps you

Psychiatrist Dr. Shubham Mehta's  Response
Hello
The problem of fits is recurring and you have to take the drug treatment for 3-5years.
Drugs like valproate, phenytoin and carbamazepine are used in the treatment.
EEG can not determine whether the disease is cured or not.
I think you should consult in NIMHANS.

Thanks
