General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You are recommended to get physically examined & get a swab test of the lesion & blood test done to rule out facial herpes infection. Keep your skin clean & don't share your clothes, soaps, tooth brushes, etc. The infection is highly contagious.

If the test is positive for facial herpes you will need medications like antivirals (Acyclovir oral & cream), painkillers & pain relieving mouthwashes.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
