I was seen by the er doctor on the 28th with 102 fever and 15 days of diarrhea they said I have diverticulitis but on the appendix side. They prescribed me two meds. However the diarrhea has seemed more my stomach is cramping and now I feel like I m going to vomit. I have been drinking red Gatorade and now my diarrhea is red . my neck has gotten stiff as well. Please help I m miserable
Diverticultis is commonly treated with a combination of antibiotic and it is possible that one of the antibiotics, is causing some of the GI effects- the nausea.
It is likely that they would have imaging to take a look at the abdomen but if this is not the case, you should have imaging done.
Muscle aches and stiffness can occur with infections, in your case the fluid and electrolyte loss is likely contributing.
I hope this helps
