Suggest Treatment For Fever, Cough, Cold And Numb Hands

I have had a fever for the past 6 days and coughing for the past 4. On top of this everything I shake or move my head in a faster than normal motion it hurst, and this has not gone away for the entire time of the past 5 days regardless if I have a fever or not. I went to a quick care doctor 2 days ago and he gave me antibiotics telling me it was a sinus infection and upper respiratory infection. During the first day of antibiotics my fevers started coming less frequent but during the second day which is today it comes at its normal rate (~4hours). Right now my body feels really hot with a fever and my hands have become a little numb but once I expose it to something cold it goes back to normal. Is his normal for the antibiotics to make the fever better the first day and then back to normal the second day? Or does that mean that the antibiotics are not working? Should I seek additional medical help or wait a couple more days of antibiotics? Also I would like a second opinion if these symptoms are a result of a sinus infection. Thank you in advance for your help Steven leung

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, usual cases of fever, cough, cold needs no antibiotics to get cured unless there is any bacterial infection. U should undergo routine CBC,ESR investigations and check for total count specially nutrophills.some URTI subsides after full course of antibiotics I.e. after 7 days.here I don't know which group of antibiotic is given to you but yes one can change the antibiotics if its not working but only after physician's consultation.u should go to doctor and get properly investigated first.
