Suggest Treatment For Fever & Cold Feet

My 3 yo son has a fever and cold feet and hands. He seems to be acting pretty normal other than being a little uncomfortable. We were out in the sun today and it was hot although he was drinking some water (about 28oz), im worried the heat may have affected him. Hes normally pretty healthy so should i be concerned?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi
Welcome to the HCM

It could be due to the heat stoke. Don't worry. Just take the following measures to help him:
1. Give him regular feeds and oral rehydration therapy such as lemonade, soups or buttermilk.
A good hydration will help him.
2. In case the fever doesn't respond, give him acetaminophen or ibuprofen and repeat the same dose after 6-8 hours if required.
Avoid Sun for the time being.
Hopefully this will help you. In case of any further questions, you may contact me.
Take care
