Hello! My sister is experiencing flu like symptoms, fever of 101, chills, sever body aches, headache, rash on her upper legs, neck and jaw are sore to touch. She is very thirsty and her lower ribs hurt. She has just lost her husband and has been under a lot of stress.

Hi there,

This sounds like she has the flu, and her immune system is probably a bit depressed due to her recent loss. I'd recommend she stay very well hydrated and take ibuprofen or tylenol for her fevers and pain. This should get better within 3-5 days. As long as she can get stay well hydrated she should be able to get through this. Benadryl may also help her with the rash if it is itchy.

I hope this answers your questions. Please feel free to contact me should you have any further questions.
