Suggest Treatment For Fever And Body Tremors At Night In Child

Hi Doctor My daughter is 3.5 yrs and got fever from 3-4 days. Initially there was no symptom only fever 2-3 times per day. 2nd day Doctor prescribed meftal & combiflam for 24 hrs by alternating each in 4 hrs and even after fever comes, taxim forte 5ml 2 times for 5 days. She is still getting fever with shiver @ night (~3-4am) once at same time from last two days. dry cough follows at the time of sleep. What taxim forte used for and can it be dengu (as getting fever once at same time)? pls advice asap

I have gone through your question and understand your concern. Fever with chills can be caused by urinary or respiratory tract infection. Taxim is a broad spectrum antibiotic and will help fight infection both respiratory and urinary. All antibiotics will take a minimum of 3 to 5 days to show results. So wait for a week, if fever does not subside then take up complete blood test along with peripheral smear for Malarial parasite, complete urine examination and chest ray.
Dry cough will subside with fever if it is caused by respiratory tract infection or sore throat. If fever is very high try sponging using lukewarm water to bring down the body temperature. Hope your concern is answered. Thank you.
