Suggest Treatment For Fatigue, Headaches And Sleeplessness
I have blood calcium of 2.53 mmol per L I have a PTH of 4.3 pmol per L I have common symptoms of high calcium i.e. fatigue, do not feel well, headaches, not sleeping well. I had an ultra sound which was negative. I have read that a person with high calcium and normal PTH can have hyperparathyrodism. My doctor wants to keep testing my calcium and PTH in another 3 months but I do not feel well now. what should I do ?
The level of calcium mentioned is not depicting whether it is total serum calcium or ionised free calcium responsible for the systemic effects. It is remote possibility of a person with normal PTH report and actual symptoms of Hyperparathyroidism.
Till your final diagnosis is approached, primary guidelines for better recovery: - Drink more liquids - Balanced nutritious diet - Tablet paracetamol (650 mg) sustained release medicine thrice a day - Multi vitamins and minerals medicine as syrup, capsule or tablet formulations - Quit smoking and alcohol if consuming Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
