Suggest Treatment For Extreme Hair Fall While On Medication For PCOS

Hi, i was having pcos since 6yrs and was on metformin and krimson 35. i have expericed a hair loss during the medication. last month i stopped taking krimson 35 and had my period on right time but having severe hair loss now. Can you suggest what could be the issue?

Hi my dear,

I have gone through your medical history carefully and understood your concern. Let me recapitalize your case:
- personal history of PCOS for 6 years now
- treatment used Metformin, Krimson 35
- stop Krimson 35 from one month now
- experiencing severe hair loss since then

PCOS is characterized of female hormonal imbalance, which has been set by using Krimson 35, containing estrogen. Another ingredient of Krimson 35 is cyproterone acetate which has anti-testosterone activity. Altogether they will help restore hormonal balance, and will help hair growth substiquently.

I advise to discuss with your OG specialist to restart treatment with Krimson 35. While for the moment, I advise to use Minoxidil 2% shampoo locally to help regrowth of your hair. Hair growth supplements containing zinc, vit, E and biotin can also help. However, it might require up to 1 year to see evident changes.
